Unit 8 语境及词语解析
1、month 月；月份
为可数名词，其复数形式为months。
this/last/next month"这/上/下个月”。
Rain may not fall there for months or years. 那里可能长年累月都不下雨。
Im going to Yunnan next month.下个月我要去云南。
2、January一月
为专有名词，首字母必须大写。
My birthday is in January.我的生日在一月。
归纳总结月份的英文全叫作及缩写：

"When is ones birthday?"为询问某人生日的句型，其答语一般为"Ones birthday is on+日期.“或"Its on+日期.”。
—When is your birthday，Sally？萨莉，你生日是什么时候？
—My birthday is on July 3rd.我生日是七月三
日。
4、when （疑问副词）什么时候。为疑问副词，引导特殊疑问句，用来询问时间。常用介词in、on、at等形成的介词短语进行回答。
—When do you go to bed every day?你每日什么时候上床睡觉？
—I usually go to bed at 9:30 p.m.我一般夜晚
九点半上床睡觉。
when 与 what time的区别点与相同点
区别点：
when可用来询问事情出现的年份、月份、日期等非钟点性时间。
what time一般用来询问钟点性时间，只能用时刻来回答。
相同点：
当询问做某事的详细时间（钟点）时，when 与 what time能够互换
—When is her birthday？她的生日是什么时候？
—Her birthday is in June.她的生日在六月。
—What time is it now？此刻几点了？
—Its eight oclock.八点。
—When/What time do you usually get up?你一般什么时候/几点起床？
—I usually get up at 6:00 in the morning.我一般早晨6点起床。
发音总结：
(1)when 中字母组合 wh 发/w/音，类似的还
有why、where、what、white 等。
(2)字母组合wh 还可发/h/音，如who、whose、whom等。

6、日期的表达办法
美式表达：月+日+年
“日”与“年”之间用逗号隔开

英式表达：日+月+年

写作：13 June，2019或13th June,2019

7、介词on、in、at暗示时间时的用法
on、in与 at暗示时间时的区别：
on用在详细的星期、日期前，还可暗示在详细某一天的上午、下午或夜晚
on Monday 在星期一
on June 4th在6月4日
on Friday morning 在星期五上午
on a cold evening 在一个寒冷的夜晚
on my birthday在我生日那天
on Mothers/ Fathers Day 在母亲节/父亲节那天
in 能够和morming、afternoon、evening 搭配，还能够用在年份、月份、季节前。
in the day/evening 在白日/夜晚
in 2018 在2018年
