坐井观天
The Frog in the Well

从前有只青蛙住在一个井底下。它每日跳来跳去，觉得自己的家很大，井边的水亦非常多，它很开心。有一天，有只海鸥飞到井口来，和青蛙聊天。
Once upon a time, there was a frog living at the bottom of a well. It hopped around every day, thinking its home was large and the water at the edge of the well plentiful, and it was very happy. One day, a seagull flew to the mouth of the well and started talking to the frog.

海鸥告诉青蛙，外面的世界非常大，有广阔的海洋，连绵的山脉，还有没边没际的天空。可是井底的青蛙听了以后，不相信海鸥的话。
The seagull told the frog that the outside world was vast, with broad oceans, continuous mountain ranges, and boundless skies. However, the frog didn’t believe the seagulls words after hearing them.

青蛙说：“我不信，我的家已然很大了，天空仅有井口那样大，你说的哪些我都没见过，怎么可能真的存在呢？”
The frog said, "I don’t believe it. My home is already big. The sky is only as big as the well’s mouth. How could all the things you mentioned, which I have never seen, possibly exist?"

海鸥听了很惊讶，它说：“倘若你愿意，我能够带你去瞧瞧外面的世界。”
The seagull was surprised and said, "If youre willing, I can take you to see the outside world."

于是青蛙跳到海鸥背上，海鸥带着他飞了出去，飞呀飞呀，飞过高山，越过大海，她们一块看到了许许多多从未见过的奇景。高山上雪白的雪，大海中波光粼粼的水面，天空比井口大得多得多，一望没际。
So, the frog jumped onto the seagull’s back, and the seagull carried it out of the well. They flew over high mountains and crossed vast seas, together witnessing many wonders they had never seen before. The white snow on the mountains, the shimmering surface of the seas, and the sky, much larger than the wells opening, stretched endlessly.

青蛙完全惊呆了，它从来没想到世界这么大，它以前看到的只是一小块天空，此刻它看到了全部世界。海鸥带青蛙飞到了一个绿色的草地，那里有非常多和青蛙同样的小动物，它们在草地上自由地跳跃、玩耍。
The frog was utterly astonished. It had never imagined the world could be so vast; previously, it had only seen a small piece of the sky, but now it was seeing the entire world. The seagull took the frog to a green meadow where many small animals, just like the frog, were freely hopping and playing in the grass.

青蛙感觉到了前所未有的自由和快乐。它对海鸥说：“原来世界这么大，我以前的眼界太小了。”
The frog felt an unprecedented sense of freedom and joy. It said to the seagull, "So the world is this big; my previous view was too narrow."

海鸥笑着说：“是的，世界很大，有没数的奇迹等着咱们去发掘和探索。只要勇敢地走出去，就会有更加多的惊喜。”
The seagull smiled and replied, "Yes, the world is enormous, filled with countless wonders waiting for us to discover and explore. As long as we bravely step out, there will be more surprises."

从那以后，青蛙再亦不回到井底。它爱好外面的世界，每当它回想起井底的日子，都会感到幸运自己做了勇敢的选取。
